A King's Quest for Love
In Borneo folktale where durian is said to have originated, a Malay king fell deeply in love with a woman of unmatched beauty. Desperate to win her heart, he sought the counsel of a forest demon. The demon, intrigued by the king’s devotion, offered him a magical seed and said, “Nurture this seed with music and the purest mountain water, and it will yield a fruit that reveals the essence of true love.”

The Enchanted Seed and Sapeh’s Song
With hope ignited, the king planted the seed. Each day, he played enchanting melodies on his sapeh and watered the seed with spring water drawn from the mountain. Under his care, the tree flourished, its branches twisting skyward. In time, it bore a fruit like no other—encased in sharp thorns and emanating an intoxicating, peculiar aroma.

When the king presented the fruit to his beloved, she recoiled from its scent and rejected both the fruit and his proposal. Devastated, the king threw the fruit to the ground. It split open, revealing the golden flesh within—sweet, rich, and utterly unique.

As he stood in despair, a voice resonated through the air, “True beauty lies within, hidden from those who see only the surface.” Enlightened by the words, the king shared the fruit with the people he cherished. They marvelled at its taste and named it durian, from the Malay word duri, meaning thorn—a reminder that true beauty is often concealed.

To this day, durian is celebrated as the "King of Fruits" from Borneo and duriking became the messager of love, patience, and truth for all who dared to look beyond the surface. Our logo symbolises the 5 pointed star of the signature marking found on the bottom of a real musang king durian, a true distinction reflecting our deep connection to Malaysia's most sought-after durian variety. Each point of the star embodies one of our core values: excellence, integrity, tradition, innovation and sustainability.

From Farm
to Feast
We are the only farm who practice acoustic farming, a concept that involves music therapy to improve plant growth, health and productivity. Our state of the art irrigation system allows our durian trees to be irrigated with spring water directly from the mountain, nourishing them with natural minerals and nutrients. The benefits of acoustic farming includes the reducing of toxic chemical fertilizers and pesticides and improving the well-being of plants, animals and humans.
